writing + audio + Community Arts

Hi there :) I’m a writer and arts worker based in Nipaluna/Hobart.
My practice spans poetry, picture books, audio making and community arts.
I’m most interested in projects that elevate new voices, encourage experimentation and challenge the established rules of storytelling.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked with artists and communities in all kinds of places - prisons, schools, libraries, museums, remote communities and government archives - and in all these places I’ve been reminded of the many ways stories connect us.

latest WORK
Created with Darwin-based artist, Emma Long, Searching for Treasure, traces the high tide line, introducing young readers to marine ecology through intricate illustrations and bite-sized facts. Set on the NSW South coast, this joyful book is a homage to Australian coastlines and all the things we can learn when we lean in and take a closer look.
